CPU/Mobo getting stuck after bios stage.. pls help

hi

i recently started experiencing a new problem with my new system..

i updated my bios today and everything seemed fine at first.. i even restarted the system couple of times with load default settings in bios and was working fine..

but now, when i start the system.. it gets stuck after the motherboard splash screen stage where it again shows the bios default setup loading stage..and sometimes it doesn't even show anything and the monitor just shows from analog to digital mode.. its not going to the OS booting stage

the strange thing is.. even if i press restart on my CPU, it doesn't restart.. nothing happens and i have to power off and on again..

another thing is usually when i start the CPU, the lights on the keyboard all blink together and then the booting happens.. but now even that is not happening..
i checked the RAM in friends place and it is working perfect.. i just changed the power supply also but still the same problem.. i removed the motherboard battery and placed it after few seconds.. at that time it goes into bios and when i either save the settings or discard settings.. it again gets stuck..

i donno wats happening.. pls help
 
Well in anycase how can people advice you if you haven't given any clue about your system? Did you even try clearing cmos.
 
thats why they say..never update your bios until & unless your mobo's givin some problem :P

System details dude, most motherboards have dual BIOS now, so even if something like a bad flash happens, you can revert to normal using the secondary BIOS.

Hope u have kept your motherboard manual coz that will contain the steps to revert.
 
Loading bios defaults does not necessarily mean they are they are the correct settings for your hardware. My guess is that somewhere one of the reverted default settings is incorrect.. check to see things like boot drive order or that your hardware is correctly listed. I would go through each BIOS page and check each thing and make sure that it is set correctly, and DONT change things that you are unsure about... but ask here first or check the manual. (If you don't have a manual you can probably download one from the manufacturers site) Also another really good place to check is the forum for the manufacturer that makes the board, often there are good trouble shooting tips or mods that work much more closely with the board you have.

Hey sharangaba i had problm that the system hang at the time of entering OS..nd in the mobo site they suggest 2 update bios 2 fix it..thats y i did it...:tongue:
