Graphic Cards Gfx Card Too Hot To Handle

i bought a xfx 6600 ddr1 256 in oct. installed it then and frm then till now i hv not been able to play a single game for more than 20 mins on the system:@ . since i got the card frm somewere else i cannot go now and avail the warranty.
things which i hv tried to pin pt the prob-
1). started using antec 550w smps.
2) using latest drivers.
3) system runs fine on onboard atix200 and the other card xfx 6600gt.:(
4)card has the same prob on other comps.
5) the card came with a heat sink but no fans. rivatuner states temp around 75C :no:

so how do i cool the thing?

pal i got the card frm cal, i stay in gangtok, the cost of goin to cal ll b more than the cost of card cant avail the warranty. i hv written this in my first post
 
dood these days xfx is giving replacement cards only with heatsink and no fan..

better get another card i.e., Leadtek or something like that..
 
i suppose the best solution wud be NV-Silencer u may easily overclock ur GC also..n donn forget to apply thermal paste like AS5 or somethin..
 
i m using msi rs 480m2-il do u guys think the chipset might hv issuses wid the card? coz when i tested the card on other comp it also had the same mobo.

something to do wid ati vs nvidia??
