NOT True :)

The 160Gb version has a 4-cell 5600mAh battery (sticker on the box) compared to the 80Gb version with a 6-cell 6600mAh battery. Thats 1 source of confusion with ppl. Asus marketing gone haywire :P

4-cell still has good >4 hrs backup time. Took some research to dig this out.

Look for a review soon ;)

Reason for it? They launched a 160Gb version to compete with the cheaper MSI wind (with 6 cell) that was launchd. But to keep costs same, they reduced battery life. Simple economics.
How to check, bublez, post a pic of the back of ur E1000H. the battery on the 80Gb ones is marked 6600mAh and does NOT bulge out the back.

The 5600mAh battery on the 160Gb versions has a slight bulge at the back.

Hello, I would advise people to go for 4 Cell battery as it too comes out little bit of notebook, I'm not sure how bigger and weightier would be 6 cell one.

I have 1000H and will be reviewing it very soon.

The actual battery backup would be around somewhere 3:30 hrs. Ofcourse if you put it in power saving mode and low screen light it does show sometimes 4:45 ..

i didnt see the rating on the battery... But I saw a sticker on the notebook saying 7 hrs battery life. so it shd be 6 cell i guess.. Anyways i will take a look at the battery and post the pics today

@buBlez

i didn't think the dealer hide the offer, its a new offer

so currently

80GB 1000H 6 cell should be available at 24K

and 160GB version at 25.5 K with printer and tata surf up..Techie_007 has mentioned this one has 4 cell battery.

I had chat with SMC they say 150GB version isn't available without this offer.
