GO: Brand New iPhone 4s 16 GB Sprint Unlocked 35k

The phones will be bought brand new and sealed pack. Then my friend will open the box and switch them on to unlock them and pop in the SIM that I have sent him from India to check whether they have been unlocked or not. This is the only time the phone will be used. The phone will still have both front and back plastic protectors unremoved.The only difference between a Brand New device and this will be that the plastic on the box will be absent and the box will be unsealed. The contents in the box will be the same as the one you can order from Apple themselves. Totally new albeit the one instance they were switched on and unlocked.
I am interested in this but I am just worried if the phone doesn't work for some reason because of the earlier issue of non-factory unlocked phones at times on international networks. What happens if in the worst case the phone doesn't work on my operator in India after me receiving it?
Well, i understand the scepticism that everyone is going through because of this not being a known method of unlocking all around. But the thing is Sprint is keeping hush-hush about this whole unlocking thing. Only a few people in the know-how get their phones unlocked and also that is why i am getting such a good rate.
If you can check out Sprintforums, you can see a well-documented experience of a guy who is using his 4s for the past 3 months in Afghanistan. He had bought the phone on the launch day itself and got the unlocked piece that were being sold before 11/11/11.
Anywho, i will be getting my piece within 10 days and will post screenshots of it working on Indian networks flawlessly. I guesss that will put your minds at ease.

Once the phone is unlocked you can update your iPhone anytime.
AT&T phones that are locked have their IMEIs in a blacklist on Apple servers.
Same is the case with Sprint phones.
Once Apple receives this request they just remove that IMEI from the blacklist and the itunes sync unlocks the phone.

Please read carefully. I will be getting it unlocked. The post that i made earlier regarding the unlock method was to generate awareness about how this unlock works and is different from the Gevey Sim or Software unlock. This method is as good as factory unlock,

Some have been with Sprint for over a decade now while others have 3-5 year old accounts. The main reason for choosing such people is that they will always prefer Sprint and thus Sprint will try to please them lest they change their carriers.
