Hello,
We are a family of 4 adults. All 4, all day out. From August, 2006 we have been using Whirlpool WhiteMagic H-70 Semi-Automatic 7 KG Washing Machine. It's life is over now, the motors got changed 2-3 times and overall it's not that efficient now.
With changing time, we all got more busy and now we don't have time for manual efforts of semi-automatic machine. So we decided to buy a fully Automatic one in 8 KG segment. My father's opinion was to go for IFB because his friends bought that machine some 20 years ago which are still working great. So, we thought to buy IFB ADMIRAL 8012W by comparing it with other machines on www.compareindia.com . Then somehow came the idea for going with Direct drive technology, knowing that LG is first to launch DD machines and also knowing that IFB is working for past 20 years flawlessly, we decided for IFB 8 KG Direct Drive. Now we went to the shops in Noida to look for the machines. In the earlier stages of searching, some shops said that these models are over now, some said these are available. So due to this dilemma we added Senator VX in the list too.
Then a Multibrand Showroom advised us to buy Samsung (actually he pushed us to buy Samsung and then told us to have look of Whirlpool BloomWash 360 - a topload !!)
After this shop we went to another multibrand showroom where the man advised us to buy IFB. He also informed us that IFB ADMIRAL 8012W and IFB 8 KG Direct Drive are not available by the company only and hence the dealer does not have them. So now we are thinking of buying IFB SENATOR VX.
Then we moved to Vijay Sales (the best price shop), there I liked the looks of LG DirectDrive 8/4 KG F1496ADP24, plus the another reason to like it is 4KG 100% Drying system, I need it because at my home, during winters, the sun is only till 11 am after which we have no sunlight in our balcony so in the previous years only we know how we managed to dry the clothes. And due to this feature I am now inclined towards this particular model. There I liked one more model called LG F14A8RDS29 - the reason the like this 9/6 KG machine is its TrueSteam technology that removes the odours from the clothes (generally party wears, as we know that tumbling clothes many times fades them, also it has some other features such as anti-hygiene etc; but it is not much in focus simply because it is very highly priced, not beyond reach but still, afterall how many times will I use TrueSteam ??) So ultimately after making up mind for IFB and getting up confused this much, we finally came home.
I am now searching the internet to decide one, as we have to buy as soon as possible. From reviews I deduced that IFB is discouraged because of it's poor after sales service and I also realized that after it's broke-up with Bosch; it's quality is degraded. I also found a strong preference for Bosch and Siemens. But there I also found NO negatives for LG, so why not a new technology (DirectDrive + Dryer) (a dryer costs around 20K). So now I would like to clearly state that I am CONFUSED and need suggestions.
Money is no bar. Also I would like to let you know that we want to wash our Blankets, pillows, curtains and all heavy stuff that generally goes out for dry-cleaning at home only because we believe that since we are investing our time and money then why not we buy something that has an edge over others. Our relatives often keep coming to us for medium sized stays so we are generally a family of 6 rather than 4. QUALITY IS ALL THAT MATTERS TO US.
Now since we are not inclined over any other machine or brand, any valuable suggestion is heartfully thanked in advance. The previous machine was used every day.
