Hi All
Gonna go WC soon as have ordered the following.

Primochill Zinc Plated Steel Worm Drive Hose Clamps for 3/4IN OD Tubing (2 Pack)

Ek Water Blocks EK-BAY Spin 5.25IN Bay Reservoir with Flow Meter & Waterfall - Plexi
Ek Water Blocks EK-D5 X-TOP Version 2 Custom Pump Top for D5 & MCP655 Pumps G1/4
Ek Water Blocks EK-COOLSTREAM Rad XT Triple 120MM Fan Water Cooling RADIATOR-15MM Spacing
Ek Water Blocks EK-COOLSTREAM Rad XT Dual 120MM Fan Water Cooling RADIATOR-15MM Spacing
Ek Water Blocks EK-COOLSTREAM Rad XT Single 120MM Fan Water Cooling RADIATOR-15MM Spacing
Primochill Primoflex Pro LRT Clear 1/2IN ID 3/4IN OD Tubing (10 Feet)
Bitspower G1/4 High Flow 1/2IN Barb Fittings for 1/2IN ID Tubing (Pair)

Gonna go with 2 Pumps in RP-452X2. Have bought additional EK reservoir if needed.

I intend to do the folowing

RES>>PUMP>>RAD360>>CPU WB>>RAD 120>>GPU WB>>RAD 240>>RES.

The reason of using so many RAD is that i will not use any fan on them. Just the 2 promary intake fan of the case (HAF 932) should do the trick.

Any suggestions....

GODSPEED

I've not done the math nor do I have experience in WC, but won't the water circulating inside all of that heat up after several hours? I mean with nothing to cool the radiators down won't the water temperatures slowly rise?

Just two Case fan will not provide proper air flow to these RADs.. At Ideal You will have same result as without WC and at load ur temp will go much high..
Instead Go for silent fans at low rpm..

Change flow order from RES>>PUMP>>RAD360>>CPU WB>>RAD 120>>GPU WB>>RAD 240>>RES.
to
RES>>PUMP>>RAD120>>CPU WB>>RAD 360>>GPU WB>>RAD 240>>RES.

You were adding two rads between just reservior.. CPU and GPU are heatsources .. so adding big rad after CPU will lower down the temp of water before going for another warm-up at GPU. This way you will have equal rad area for both CPU abd GPU..

Great Input. I will consider this. Though i will like to test the rig for couple of days without the fans and see what happens.

Can someone tell me if Koolance RP-452X2 Dual 5.25" Reservoir is compatible with Swiftech MCP655.

As per design MCP655 & 450/S are same pumps.

And Apart form Distilled Water, What can I use as Coolant in the WC.

As per running a test for few days... just put you CPU at max load, and you case will cry for air with in couple of mins..

Just use Distilled water... Oil can be used, but it's suggested to go for water only..

Yes it's. The same design.
They are all rebranded D5's from laing.
I'm ordering one myself :)

Regarding the rad setup with all due respect to senior members this is what I think:-
The two pumps in series having 20w power consumption each & 15% efficiency, it's 34w heat source for both.
The max that CPU can take is 150w on a crazy overclock, & your gpu has a TPW OF 250w
So the sequence should be res-pumps-120-CPU-240-gpu-360
And you don't need EK-D5 X-TOP Version 2 Custom Pump Top for D5 if your getting Koolance RP-452X2 Dual 5.25" Reservoir for 1-2 PMP-450/S Pumps

Good Info. Though i feel that I will test and come to a conclusion and post It for future info.

The EK-D5 X-TOP is for someone else. :)

Besides this, can someone tell me where can i get UV Coolant. Would need about a liter of that.

^^ I have some UV additive for your distilled water...

its UV blue..Also have tubing etc PM me if interested...

Thanks

Hello :)

Umm the 452x2 will handle the Mcp655 just fine since it is a re branded Liang D5.

Id suggest that you get the ones with speed control. i run my 452x2's with 2 koolance pumps because the koolance pumps come with RPM monitoring.

Also do make sure you get the serial connecting pipe kit for the 452x2.

Here is a thread with a few pics if you need some visual reference.

http://www.techenclave.com/show-off/while-i-was-away-186794.html

Also rads without fans will not work bro.. unless you have a Mora 3 or something and you will still need some kind of airflow over it. I run my Mora 3 without fans in my room but thats with it next to the A/c. I also have a HW Labs gtx 360 with 3x 1800 rpm fans inside the 800D.

If you dont want too much noise.. get rads optimized for low speed fans or get a fan control and turn down the fans :)

Also Avoid ANY EK blocks unless they have the new plating for their nickel. Lots of reports of corrosion on their blocks. The NEW Blocks with the new Electroless plating have EN in their part numbers. ( Electroless Nickel )

Get the Koolance Blocks. I have 2x 580's under water and they rock.. or then get the aquacomputer 580 block with their awesome Bridge system :)

Also Loop order wont have any noticeable difference. Water moves too fast for there to be any difference. You can just go from cpu-gpu-rad-rad-rad or any combination that results in the shortest flow path.

Cheers and kind regards !

Rads without fans will not work....also the rads choosen are not the best for the price, do reconsider that.

Apart from Koolance 30FPI, are there any better RADS?

Depends on what the application is. If you want high pressure fans, like scythe GT 1850's then go for Black Ice GTX.

If you want low pressure fans, low rpm types, like xigmatek or something, then go for XSPC RX series/Black Ice SR1. For fan less, only external rads will work, but there has to be some airflow on it, like an AC or something.

For in between, low cost and decent performance go for swiftech. The best finish is on the Black Ice series without any doubts.

Also check out the new Swiftech MCR XP rads These are High FPI unlike the Quiet Power series which are low FPI rads. The new XP rads are apparently ultrasonically cleaned for solder flux just like the HW labs rads.

In terms of Finish quality and paint job , HW Labs is No 1.

If you are ok running high speed fans( 1800 rpm and higher ) then the HW labs Black ICE GTX series is the king in terms of heat dissipation.

cheers and kind regards !

Cannot do much now as have ordered the RADS already, Though i will keep this in mind if I need more, as the MOD that i am looking for will take some time and more RADS.

^^ How many rads do you intend to have? And really what are you aiming for..

I think max of a 360 and a 240 is plenty.... Do post a sketch up if and when possible...would helps us all in suggesting etc...

Looking for Indian Version of L3p d3sk. Working on the Sketch right now. Will post it once it is final.

Some Premature Drawing that i have in mind for this project.

Besides that, i will be putting in a button for UV.

All Fans other then the RADS will be 140mm or 200mm (If 200mm then i will be using just 2 fans).

Top being Glass and the back portion being Wood. Rest of the table will be part Metal Part Wood (Wood on Metal Skeleton) Plus some glass here & there.

I am taking the budget being 6-8K for the materials & 1-2 K for getting the steal cut and Folded by some workshop near by.

All suggestions are welcomed. Design improvements are in effect till We finalize the design.

Small size table .. Good design.. please check attachment

I have added wall as i understood.. if position of wall is right according to me then from where two 140mm fans getting air,,?
