CPU
~~~
CPU:- AMD Athlon 64 - socket 939 - Winchester Core only
I would suggest you 3200[2Ghz]/3500[2.2Ghz]
OR
CPU:- AMD Athlon 64 - socket 939
If you have loads of money to waste go for FX-53[2.4Ghz] or FX-55[2.6Ghz]
If you know to overclock i would suggest you 3200+ which can be overclocked to 2.6 Ghz easily on the ASUS A8N SLi Motherboard.
And you can enjoy the power of FX-55 which is above 35K @
Motherboard - GPU - PowerSupply
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ASUS A8N Si is a Sli Chipset infact it supports 2xPCIE-x16 Gpus
You can connect 2GPU's on the same Motherboard thats SLi Technology
Just see the FPS zooming up with 2 GPU's pumping power to your games.
IF you intend to go for a 2x6800GT setup ----> look for a PSU which gives
you atleast 21-24Amps on the 12V line for eg. Anter True Power 480W or 430W
IF you intend to go for a 2x6600GT setup ----> look for a PSU which gives
you atleast 20Amps on the 12V line for eg. Anter Smart Power 450W
IF you intend to go for a 1x6800GT setup ----> look for a PSU which gives
you atleast 20Amps on the 12V line for eg. Anter Smart Power 450W or
Anter Smart Power 400W
IF you intend to go for a 1x6600GT setup ----> look for a PSU which gives
you atleast 20Amps on the 12V line for eg. Power Safe 500W or Power Safe 400W [Gold Plated].
A PowerSupply is very critical on the Sli based Motherboard
one of our members "DarkLord" had to find a 2 PSU solution to run his PC
when 2 GPU's were connected in SLi.
