Friends,
I am willing to purchase new graphics card but I don't like to invest in psu and cooling heavily.I have dual core e5300 processor, samsung 2033,2gbram,asus p5kpl am/ps and zebronics bijli cabinet. Can I use cards like 4850 or 4770 with this configuration without spending more than grphics card purchase. If it is not possible suggest me other good cards for this configuration.

:)

Which PSU are you using and what rating is it?

Give us complete configuration as every component in the CPU is a load on the PSU including any external peripherals connected to the CPU that dont have their own power source.

Once you give this information we should be able to provide you correct information.

I would not recommend the purchase of a HD4850 or HD4870 for you. Most generic PSU bundled with cabinets are 250W ones regardless of whats stated on their labels. A HD4850 peak power consumption goes as high as 220W.

So if you don't like spending on a good PSU, then I guess you wound also not like to run the risk of not being able to use the GPU at all because of instability after buying one or the risk of loosing more than just the PSU and the GPU if by chance the PSU explodes.

Don't want to buy a good power supply? Don't buy a good graphic card.
Sorry, but theres no other way to put this.
Provide details of your current PSU and some suggestions can be put out, though if generic, there won't be much choice for you till you upgrade the PSU.

How can I find out total power consumption of my pc and what is the power consumption of hd 4670 ?.As far as I know the above mentioned spec will consume 210watts and hd 4670 will consume 60w,am I correct.
