hi ..

looking for good mouse n KB ...i am a web devloper and do lots of typing..currently i use TVS gold n basic MS mouse...but really not feel comfortable..

so what are my options... KB should be good with really soft keys..i dont need multimedia keys n all..just good keys for typing...

can somebody suggest me smth ?
Thanks,

The TVS gold is a mechanical keyboard no? Mechanical keyboards give really good tactile feedback and are easier to type on. Are you fed up of the clickety noise or is the comfort level really bad?

The samsung pleomax is a good quality keyboard. Don't know if the keys are really soft though. Mouse...well I really like the Razer gaming mice on gaming mats....sooo smooth. Don't like large mice like Logitech MX518 etc so much but it depends on each individual.

hey bro u could try the microsoft keyboards, i personally found them as the best alternative when i shifted from using a tvs keyboard, dont know about the current models though.

^^^^ it's MS Desktop 500 (combo) around 0.8k.

I have been using this for one year now. very soft, light in weight and comfortable enough for long usage.

umm acutally i have MS desktop 500 but i am just using its mouse now, no KB.. dont think its good in typing and keys are soft.

abt TVS gold..i have used it lot..and i change almost every year(buy a new TVS gold) but i really uncomforatable on it..now..and i think keys are not that soft and i have to press hard ...

i am looking smth in line of laptop keys.....i have smth like this in mind

Im not so good with kb and mouse...but it looks like, what u are looking for is an ergonomic KB...take a look at this KB at theitdepot.com....

IT-Depot

PS: i dunno if it softkeys or any such thing...coz i type very less so no intrest in KB...:)..at max i use 6 keys for gaming..:bleh:
WASD : Directions
SPACE : Jump
R : Reload :eek:hyeah:

i suggest da logitech standard keyboard wch is really strong, sturdy & gives an awesome feel while typin....its worth evry buck....no multimedia n stuff on it....mouse jus buy a MS basic mouse....dat shud do da trick

If you do a lot of typing, then my suggestion is to get an ergo keyboard like the MS 4000. Also check if the older MS natural keyboards are available for cheaper. Once you get used to the split layout, you'll be typing faster and with more comfort.

I have an MS4000 btw - its excellent!

i'd say sticking with a mechanical keyboard like the TVS gold is still the best option for you since you type a lot. a few years back i used to type a lot as well since i was writing reviews for games and back then i had tried pretty much all the basic keyboards like the ones from microsoft, logitech, samsung etc. i had to replace them every 2 months since the keys would get stuck quite badly.

in the end, it works out to about the same as buying a new mechanical every year when it comes to cost but it's just a lot of hassle having to constantly replace the keyboard. the ones with soft keys are not durable at all.

hi guys...

thanks you all for you ur comments n suggestions...

i guess iwld go for MS4000.. seems good and no harm in trying..

and clearly priority here is my fingers n my comfort....which is missing now in mechanical one.. i have..

if someone can suggest me price for this KB n a gd mouse that will be really helpful..

currently i use MS basic mouse..really not comfortable n shape is very bad..
Thanks again

The MS400 sells at Rs.2860 at theitdepot.com (check out the link i posted in my last post :p)...but everyone here say that theitdepot is a overpriced shop...so u should get it at a lower price...:D

That price should give u a general idea of the price...:D
