I have a PC with the following config.

Intel P4 3.0 Ghz HT
Intel 915 GAV MOBO
1GB DDR(2*512 MB)
80GB HDD
XFX 6600 Non Gt PCIE(128MB)
CD Writter
DVD Drive
TV Tuner Card
Internal Modem
Web Cam
800 watts Speakers (Microtek JOSH)
15" CRT Monitor
422 watts zebronics SMPS
500 VA UPS(velsine)
Would I have to upgrade my 500VA ups if i am upgrading my 15" monitor to a 17" CRT(SAMSUNG 793s).

@ dare devil
an upgrade to your ups is not really necessary until u want much better back up times .. your 500VA ups will give u barely 5 mins backup time with the 17" crt ..maybe even less. If u want much better backup times go for a 800VA / 650 VA UPS and you can do one thing . .. Use this old UPS only to connect the Monitor and the new one for the CPU. I have done the same .. used my old UPS only for monitor and I get very good backup times for my PC.

Well, I have a Powersafe 600VA UPS and it works really good, it provides my PC a backup time of at least 10 minutes (never kept it on for more than that). The UPS software also reports a load of only 50-55% on my PC, which is an Athlon 64 (Socket 754) with a K8V series motherboard and a GeForce FX 5900 graphics card, and a 17-inch Samsung DFX-series CRT monitor.
