Google apps, blogger and forum--Possible ?

I wanted to know if we can host a normal website using any host and at the same time, have google apps and blogger(without blogspot subdomain at anytime)

ie:
1) Normal hosted website with forum.

2) Blog with blogger, at "blog.mydomain.com", I dont want to redirect to myblog.blogspot.com. I want it to show at "blog.mydomain.com"

3) Gmail email address like "me@mydomain.com"
Also can i add more email id's say for users of the site?
 
1. Yes, very possible

2. Possible too, I've not used blogger much but I think there is a function to provide it ftp access and it will upload the stuff to the path you specify.

3. It just needs MX record change, you can do it after you have setup your web space.

Gmail gives 100 accounts I think, some people have got more in special cases, but I doubt you'll need more than 100

Thanks arya..searched around a bit with info you gave..the blogger publishing then uses the bandwidth of the webhost i suppose:(

What exactly is an mx record..

Can anyone point me to a resource which clarify all the basic for these domain jargons, mx records, cname and all..?
 
I did, kept coming up with crap..just thought if some one had it bookmarked or something..I wanted to understand the whole concept, not just know wat to do and how to do..thats what google keeps coming up with..:(
 
First check in control panel (of the registrar from where you bought your domain) if you have feature to change your MX records..

MX Records, in simple terms, is an entry associated with a domain name which enables a sender to know how to send mails to users of your domain.

Usually, you have to pay extra to have this feature.

CName, is like an alias for your domain...

sometimes, it maybe required to access a website with multiple names...

like http://[B]www[/B].techenclave.com and http://tech enclave.com both point to same website

In these cases we need CName entries

Hosted gmail is giving 25 free mail id's these days and is pretty instant.

If you need more, write to them with a compelling reason
