Mate that is atleast 3 times as expensive as what I pay for calling India from UK. (If you take GBP =2USD).

I pay like 1 pence a minute to call from laptop and mobile.... Thats 72 paise by todays rate while 6 cents = 2.82 INR a minute :P

Good for calling to US and Canada :)

Btw I enabled the labs feature. Google SMS is also there. The downside (yet again) is that only 6 countries are listed. Ghana, Israel, Palestine, Senegal, US and Zambie :S

US and Israel are fine but the remaining four :?

To be honest it is not India that gets ignored. Its more like US versus rest of the world.

An example: All apple products are launched earlier and are priced lower in the US

Yeah may be man :P .I am having issues with Jumblo over SIP so thought this is better .

@motorheadinc what is the service you are using ??

For me the cheapest in Jumblo calling from NZ to India works out 0.009Euro

me too using jumblo.. and the reason u r having so much issues is coz u waste ur BW in too much of pr0n.. :P

Does this work from India? No IP address filtering and stuff rt?
In the sense can I call a US number free directly from the net without restriction?

:O:O Is that you Haath and you are still alive .

Jumbl is cheap but its painfull to call from computer all time ,i am using sipdroid and nimbuzz.Nimbuzz is bad at times voice breaks badly but sipdroid is great provided you have a premium account from pbxes.org.

This Gmail thingy is free calls to US , you do get free calls thorugh Jumblo but have to buy credit to get that free calling stuff.

Well I have used a variety of services. :P

If you can get SIP configured for them they work out to be reaaaaaaaalllllllll Cheap. :D

To name a few: Lycatalk, Glocaltalk, ActionVoip, Smartvoip, Localphone.

Disclaimer: I use them from laptop and UK local access number. Lycatalk can't be used from the computer.

Yup thats right :D.Local call in NZ is 44C from a mobile which is about 14.5 INR but a call to India is 0.009 Euro which is 53 paisa  but there is Wifi or 3G charge but never mind as we all have internet or 3G.
