Google missing from Firefox Search Bar

Try updating to the latest version of FF. If you have done that, then download the setup file and reinstall firefox. Take backups of your bookmarks before you try any of this.
 
well.. thats the last resort.. but i wanna know why this happened..
a couple of days back i was playing with ff options.. n then i was madly clickin near that search bar where Flashget window is usually there.. n since that day no more google :P
 
masky the update from within FF is just 800kb, so update it, also check if you have javascript enabled. also enable auto update for ff, extensions and search engine.

If the update does not help, clear your cache, cookies and reboot,reinstall and reupdate ;)

PS - about why it happened, this sums it up "then i was madly clickin near that search bar"

Inzider suggested i click on the 3rd link in Section 12.. after tat i got Google search back, but instead of the icon "G", a small 'magnifying glass' was showing..

i did n simultaneously did the update dip mentioned.. now 'G' is back.. problem solved.. tnx guys.. :D
