I use Maxthon browser as my default on my Android phone. But today I was searching for some present for my friend, so thought lets see what's the current price is, and searched the keywords in address bar in Maxthon browser, but all the results are redirecting to Google UK website instead of Google India. I then checked Dolphin browser, and it searches for Google.com, then I checked Google Chrome and it did show Indian results! I don't understand why all this mess! Is it a problem of Maxthon or other third party browsers or of Google? I won't use Chrome as I find it disgusting, don't like Dolphin either. Tried another of my favourite browser Boat, same, redirects me to Google.co.uk.
Just recorded a video in case someone is confused about what I am trying to mean here,

Did you try clearing the data and cache for Maxthon?
Might have to set it up again after doing so.

But before that just check what your default search engine is.

Yeah mate, I even have uninstalled and re-installed it, no good. The search engine is set as Google, but there's no way to set it as Google India.

I installed Maxthon just to check and searched "laptop prices" and got results from India only.
I'm not in India right now so I got two sponsored ads of the present country.
Haven't changed any settings.

Lol, if you're not in India then how come the results are Indian? That's even more weird!, unless you're using an Indian ROM. I think it might have something to do with my CSC! I'm on WanamLite ROM and the CSC is non Indian, I'll try flashing Indian CSC and see if it changes.
Anyway, I've switched to my ultra reliable Naked.
