Just noticed, mine shows 'Assembled in Mexico'.. weird both rams are made on different continents altogether. Anyway to confirm if these are original rams and not some fakes?

did you buy one stick or two?
Only one was in stock so got that one. Will add another when there is more stock later.

dude take a chill pill. you're getting unnecessarily paranoid.
do the color matters, like are those the same ram under the hood ?
nope color doesnt matter. older red is 8GB stick and the bottom white is 16GB stick. both have e-dies

What's the date of import on yours? Mine is non-RGB and was imported from Singapore in March. Though on the stick it says Malaysia. Yours is a different model and understandable if it came from elsewhere depending on stock availability and date of manufacturing.

looks like the new one atleast what I have does have liiight marks. nowhere as defined as the old ones though
You are referring to the notch area right? Find anything suspicious in my pic?
Edit: I think you meant usage marks on each individual gold fingers. Yeah, it's definitely not pristine, in fact I can notice it more in the stick that was sealed properly

Still, is this a common thing? If a product is returned they just stick it in a new/old package and sell it again? They dont even care to test it and completely seal it in a new package? Pretty sure the previous customer wouldn't have returned it with a carefully opened package
I first thought they might have switched the sticks and given me a defective one, the customer returns thought didn't strike me at that point.
Anyway, gonna keep it since I have 2 sticks and if 1 turns out to be defective/dead I can RMA it later.

Mine was imported in Feb 2021. Manufacturer is Micron, Singapore. Importer is Rashi Peripherals.

Thanks for replying. Dividing by two, yours was ₹3900 per stick.. but this is a 3600mhz cl16 RGB one, so ₹4085 seems like a good deal, me thinks.
Yes that is a good price, though you will end up buying 2 different RAMs and they might not work in dual channel (remote possibility)

OP, to stress you out more: check if the RGB part of your stick is wobbly, lol.
In one of mine (non-sus one) it is a tad wobbly, not an issue. Noticed it when I placed the stick on it's head and heard/felt a clank.

The feeling to have my delivery come sooner remains. What's different are the emotions behind it after reading the new replies on this thread.

Bruh.

Tbh, the marks on the fingers are very slight and not apparent at first glance. Only upon uber-close examination is it noticeable (macro photos/magnifying glass), at least to me. If they had bothered to seal it correctly there'd be peace of mind. As long as the RAM is electrically and electronically fine...

Received the ram sticks. Not a single piece of bubblewrap in sight. The import date is March, 2021 and it's a product of Malaysia.

While opening the packaging, I could easily open a small hole with no effort.

How they looked after taking out of the packaging.

A lot of external damage on the ram packet.

White marks like these on both sides of both sticks.

After checking everything, they seem new with no signs of use. This is because the main thing that goes into the slots seem virgin. Here's how it looked after putting them back in the ram package.

Overall it seems there is a very huge downfall of Appario Retail and it's overall service as this is not an isolated incident.

I notice in your 2nd pic the barcode/backside of the RAM is facing up, similar to one of mine (iirc). Besides the external damage, no signs of the pack being previously opened?

It honestly slipped my mind, went to check back again and found that I faced the ram on the other way. Probably just be a manufacturing thing as a horizontal flip is all it takes to do it. Nothing else was out of the ordinary except damaged package. I tried to pull out the ram from the damaged package but it was firmly in place untill I opened it properly, so if someone was hellbent on giving me a used ram, they definitely got the skills.

Update - That's probably their way of shipping two sticks together for dual channel compatibility. Jk.
Sumi actually got me thinking by masking his material and part numbers lol
Haha, I have no problem in uncensoring the stuffs, it's just that I have limited knowledge about the correct etiquette for posting such things. The Sale threads seem to always have them masked so copied the same.
