i had ordered a canon a 710IS from sifymall .on the 16th of september
for my mamaji..
..it included a canon a 710 is + 1 gb card + camera case for 12855 RS. including shipping..
here it is :

even after 10 days ..i didnt get the camera so my mama got worried as 12855 was already billed to th credit card..and he didnt trust online deals much..only because i convinced him that canon a 710 is is really good(he wanted sony
) ..and sifymall is trusted he got it..
i called up sify customer care..and they said that A 710 IS is not in stock..
so u will have to wait till 2-3 days..i again called up ..and they said they cant arrange for A710 IS ..
so sir please buy some higher model or other model..
i replied that i have reached my max budget and cant buy a higher model..and dont need any other lower model..so please refund my money back..
the customer care guy told me to check my mail box ..after some time ..as he will be posting the higher models available in spite of me telling him i dont need one..and asking for refund.
the next day i check my mail..and a mail from sify mall says
u r order has been dispatched via BLUEDART .. so i thought i will be getting
A 710 IS..the same day ..i receive a parcel ..
(it was shipped from NR infotech ,lamington road mumbai )hence received it in one day..
things i noticed:
1)i dint get a CANON A 710 IS but a CANON A 720 IS .
difference between them is A720 IS is 8megapixel instead of 7mp on A710 IS and A720IS has a DIGIC III sensor..
(now i need you photography gurus to tell me ..is the 720 IS at least par with 710IS or better ?)
2)the box was not completely sealed though the camera looks brand new..
3) the serial number on the box and the camera dont match ..
(maybe cause its grey piece )
i also got a bill of NR infotech (lamington road)with 1 year warranty written on it.. and a invoice from SIFYMALL
both the invoice and bill show A 710 IS as the contents ..
also i got the 1gb memory card with the camera.
but there is no camera case that was supposed to be there..as per the order !!
do you think i should call up sify customer care and tell them that the camera case is missing ??..
or is it that as they have sent a higher model than what i had ordered ..they didnt send the camera case..??
what should i do..if i call them and complain..will they send me the camera case ??
