Got MTNL Wifi ADSL2 modem cum Router....how to connect ?

So last week the MTNL Guy came with a wifi ADSL2 model cum router after my requests, in lieu of the normal modem. But the problem is that my phone line was dead for couple of days so he could not connect and set the router.
So i guess as of now it is on me to do.
The router has DNA-A212 written over it and on back it has Semi India systems Pvt Limited written. Not sure what company it is.
How do i set the router to work with my MTNL connection ?
What IP to access the router page and what all settings to do and where ?
I guess first i will have to use the cable to connect the laptop and modem/router and then after setup only i can use the wifi connection.

PS: As i post today, i do not have router in my hands, it is at my Home in Mumbai and i will have access to it only tomorrow night. Hence i cannot do anything now. But would like to get information before hand so the setup is smooth.
 
u will have to connect modem to the laptop with cable provided,
then in urs iexplorer type 192.168.1.1
type user and pass as admin
then WRITE down Wireless WEP key:, on a paper
now let the laptop search for device,after asking for pass key, just enter Wireless WEP key:
that how i connected my laptop and mobile
 
^But i guess we have to enter information like the account id and password. I suppose they are 2898XXXX@a and password is my CA account number. Any sort of IP address to hardcode anywhere. I still hav my old modem kept at home by MTNL guys so i think i will check settings in that.

you would need to create a new connection in the modem using http://192.168.1.1

enter your credentials that you've mentioned above.

No IP address to be hard coded anywhere. you are set with ur internet connection.

Rest of the settings to do is related to ur wifi security. ensure that the SID (the wifi name) broadcast is disables so your wifi would not be visible to anyone else. for the first time when connecting to your laptop it will prompt you for SID and password.

to make your connection more secure, you can even specify the mac address of the devices that would be connecting to the router, so no other device would be able to access it.
