PC Peripherals GPU from Singapore , NZXT.

Hi I wanted to know if anyone has any experience of using GPU's bought from Singapore or anywhere in south east asia , more specifically how to go about RMA once it goes kaput. I want to get a Asus 5870 . I dont think they will offer support here. Does Gigabyte have world wide warranty , is there any brand that claims such service and does anyone have any experience with it.

I am also looking to purchase a NZXT Panzerbox , does anyone know who sells NZXT here I looked over Prime abgb site but couldnt . Info on that would be very helpful.

I got my 4850 from singapore(along with other stuff), SLS, Fuwell. Works like a charm. No, you do not support here. Shipping to singapore is very costly(cost me Rs2k for just a letter, via bludart). I dont think any brand has worldwide warranty.

I am using an xfx 9600gt bought from sim lim square, singapore. Using it for nearly 1 yr. No probs till now.

AFAIK youll not get any local warranty in INDIA for products bought in SINGAPORE. For XFX, the RMA centre is in SIM LIM itself. So no worries. But for XFX, Singapore warranty is only 2 yrs.

XFX, PALIT and ASUS are the 3 major hot selling brands in Singapore. And youll find XFX and ASUS gfx cards in mostly all the shops.

Buy it from FUWELL or VIDEO PRO. FUWELL is a familiar shop but their prices are a little higher. In VIDEO PRO, for gfx cards, there is no extra charge for using credit card. But if you buy with cash, you get 2% discount.

Get the price list and decide. Their price list includes GST which is 7%. So after buying, get the refund form which you can claim from the airport.

Hope this is more than enuf....

what OMG :huh:. 2k for just a letter. Man i have RMA'ed a gfx card in 2003 for Rs.300x2 = Rs.600 (up and down ) through DTDC.

you paid 2k for a letter thru bluedart ??. Cant believe...
 
Must be a heavy letter and he must have taken some kind of insurance and maybe bluedart was in a ripping mood on that day :P
 
dude........always pay a little more and get local warranty. All is good when it runs fine, the day it doesnt, it becomes a pain in the a** or a paperweight.
 
NZXT panzer......its good with removable mb tray etc but only 3 drive bays. Never seen panzerbox in india
 
Why not look at the Lian-Li V351 ? That's very very portable, with enough fans and motherboard trays etc.

Another option, also have a look at a new offering, PC-Q07. Weighs an astonishing 1.1Kgs :O. Features a removable motherboard installation etc :P Will be under 4k. PM me for more details.
 
I overlooked them because i dont want a mATX board if i can avoid it. The smallest cases that can fit ATX boards AND a full size graphics card are the panzerbox and lian li.

how long did it take ?? They had sent the letter in 2 days (it was a college application so it had to reach asap)

DTDC ppl said it takes 7 working days so that was not an option (so i did not ask price too).

did not know it was just Rs300. Thx for info.

I did look at that and it was an important consideration.

Both the Lian Li and Panzerbox are full aluminium construction and almost half the weight of a 922.

Im still looking around but I think its going to be the Lian Li ..... some ppl have fit crossfired cards with cpu and both gpu water cooling !!

I wont ever be water cooling but its still amazing they managed that in such a small space.
