Graphic Card fried..should I buy a new PC or new GPU?

Terrible timing... my 2yr old 4850 is dead, lots of artifacting and bsod's and some oven baking later...its totally dead hyeah:

I dont wanna buy a 10k+ gpu like gtx 460 or a 5770 for this old system, with amd's new cards comin out soon I'm thinkin of buying a card for real cheap for now ..like 4-5k max

Wanna play games like CSS, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Dead Rising (please tell me this is possible)

1440X900 at medium settings I guess IDK.

Your best bet would be to get a second hand card from the market section. I saw an 250GTS being sold for 4.4k.

Look for something with 6-7 months of warranty.

If u are not open to 2nd hand cards then the HD5670 512MB GDDR5 ~ 4.75k. Btw what PSU do u have?

I second the suggestion of getting a 5670. It's more than enough for gaming at 1400x900 at high settings.

Instead get a second hand GTX260/4870. Will play everything at max, and will cost around 5-6K.
