Hi friends. My current pc config is

core 2 duo e 7300 2.66 ghz
ati 4670 512mb card
crappy PSU
Samsung 20" monitor

My 4670 is not enough to permit me to play games at 16:9 resolution. So i am planning to get a new Graphic card + PSU. BUDGET 14k Maximum. Please suggest me a good graphic card + PSU

hello there,

For ur Budget a 4870 1gb =9200rs and a corsair 450 vx=4000rs should be the best option (not sure about the prices :S i guess the prices can be on the lower side as well)...........wait for experts comments as well :).

no dude, if you have a half decent cabbie with decent aiflow, 4870 is very much ok. My 4870 idles at 52-54 but onload doesnt go above 65. Some might say even this is hot, but considering how congested my cabbie(elite 330) is, this is ok.

anyways, to your original query, 4870 1GB + vx450 seems the best bet.

But unfortunately i cant stretch my budget .... Today i am planning to buy GPU + PSU . So pls suggest me a good combo within my budet guyz.. ALso i heard ATI 4870 and Nvidia GTX 260 fits into my budget . REply soon guyz. I need the help of you guyz since i am a amateur

If you can wait till end of Jan, 5830 should be an interesting option. A Tagan Stone Rock 500W should be able to handle it fine (VX450@ 4.2k odd may be too expensive)

at least the ati 5770 dx 11 with new eye candy is better than dx 10 card where i test at my friend place with 5870 card ;)

the 5770 any brand cost 10,500 r.s and psu FSB 350 or 450 watt

or if u want more fps rate the gtx 275 cost 14k with zebronics pro 500 watt 2.5k :)

btw the zebronics pro 350 80 % cost only 1.5k can handle 4850 where i test at my native place rig

at follow detail

intel e7300 oc 3.4 ghz on stock fan
asus 680 sli board
4 gb ddr2 oc 900 mhz
320 gb and 160 gb sata
ati 4850
22 proview lcd

it can handle at ide 150 watt and full loading 250-300 watt depend on full power for cpu and ram and gpu too :)

hey guys had one doubt .....................do u think gigabyte 460 watter can handle a 4890 ???????????? :)..............if yes then then 4890 could be within his reach for around 11.5k and gigabyte 460w for 2.3k .......please do reply

Wouldn't recommend it!

The HD4890 at full load can draw close to 300W.

Now suggest me one among these guyz.. Hd 4870 or gtx 260 or hd 5770 and suggest me a good power supply guyz..

Well, if you can get a good deal on the HD 5770 , nothing like it! That is if your aren't planning to upgrade anytime soon.

Since you won't change the monitor for 2 years and you play games at 1600*900 resolution without AA/AF

ATI 5770 1GB - 10.6k

Gigabyte 460W - 2.2k

A big NO NO to ATI 4890+Gigabyte 460w . I mean your card will literally cough to death and i think you won't want that

k . Will gigabyte psu a good one or should i settle with corsair . and is 5770 better than 4870

It gives 90% performance of ATI 4870

Gigabyte 460w will be safe ( tension free ) for ATI 5770

Plus ATI 5770 is a DX11 card

Since you won't upgrade in 2 years ATI 5770 is best buy

Go for the GTX 260 @ 10.8K and a corsair vx 450.

The last i inquired about the price of the gtx 260 it was 10.8k must have gone down by now by atleast 1k. Get this if you want to experience physx in games which have it or get the 4870 for now. There is no rush with dx11 cards. The 5770's performance is comparable to a gtx 260/4870 but lesser than both by a quite a large margin. However if you want to be dx11 proof then go for the 5770 but it will be a waste now as dx11 is not implemented at the mainstream market.

Go for the GTX 275 if the prices are asviki mentioned it kicks the 5770 around!!!

And go for a good PSU like Tagan 600w or a Cooler Master 600W and you will be good to go!!!for say atleast another 3 years!!
