dude, im mistaken, i thought u wrote 5850, now i went baack and saw 4850. I also say its 500-600 rs cheaper. sorry imho :ashamed:

A very nice guide! But 9800gx2 with its current pricing has the best price/performance ratio, it would out do the 4870 in most cases.

Well m considering to add that too...but if i add all the gfx cards then it would appear like theitwares.com pricelist n not a guide...if u want me to replace any of the cards with some other let me know...but i need to think about before adding new cards since thr r other cards too in tht 20K section like GTX260 n GTX260 216 core which do deserve to b thr...

Nice work!!!
Would also be good if you could somehow give an idea of the level of performance to expect form each category (like the best game you can play with that category at reasonable settings).

Its easy, your making a jump from 10k straight to 20k, there could be 12-13k, 15-17k and so on, coz I'm sure there would be a lot of people shopping in those range too. And as someone mentioned gx2 is around ~16k, and 2 cards for one range, wont it make it bad either, most guides have 2-3 choice of parts for each component.

Read on Hardware Canucks that the Sonic Dual edition is really LOUD (one fan runs at 36 dB).

A reference 4870 still looks good IMO, you'd save some money compared to the non-reference versions, and the temps aren't as horrible as on the 4850.

Please suggest me gfx card options in 10-20K range thr r just 3 cards available in tht range....HD4870 , GTX 260(2 versions) n 9800GTX+...GTX260 is insanely priced n 9800GTX is kicked by HD4850..so i huess no more options?

how much is the 9800gx2? I do understand that some cards are slower, but how much are they available for, 9800gtx , 9800gtx+ , 260 , 260 +

9800GTX -11K
9800GTX+ -12.9K

Both are kicked by HD4850....

GTX260-19.5K kicked by HD4870 512mb -16K(approx)

GTX260 216core-pricing not available but i think it should b higher GTX260...u think i should put these in my guide???

If thats the pricing its sad, but 9800gx2 could probably be pushed in as an option with 4870, its faster in most scenarios and at the current pricing it should probably be cheaper too.

9800GX2 never really received price cut here in india :P

Thats HD4870 512MB Sonic under 20k, 1GB is not under 20k ;)
It indeed is sad, coz US market responds to reviews pretty fast and hence we have much cheaper 280/260/9800gx2 now, but what about pricing from KMD/ or any other importer? With a small disclaimer about warranty, it would definitely make it interesting. watsay?
