Graphic Cards graphics card for upto rs 3k~

Guys, my friend needs to buy a graphics card for upto rs 3k. Thats his max budget and he cant go above that.

Also he has a stock psu which came with his cabinet, so suggest accordingly.
 
sorry, he wants a new card only... he will be using it for light gaming only..performance is not an issue..

he has a 2.2ghz core2 e4500 and 2 gb ram...
 
It very tough to find a descent new gen. card for 3k

Still you can opt for

MSI R5450-MD1GH ATI Radeon 1GB DDR3- 2.5k

PowerColor Go! Green HD5450 1GB DDR3 HDMI 3.3k

If he can extend his budget even by 1.5k there are some better options available.

Else convince him for a used card having warranty, it will surely be more affordable for him with a better gpu.
 
ATi HD Radeon 4670 -----------3300/- (Rs500 extra because it's 25% faster than the card below)

actually hes thinking of buying the MSI R5450-MD1GH ATI Radeon 1GB DDR3 which hes getting for about rs 2450 from prime abgb.
 
leviathan, 5450 will run almost all games.But it'll lag AFAIK.Technology is getting outdated everyday and if he buys something like this this I don't know how long it will last,if he wants to play new releases.Better spend few more bucks and go for at least the 4650.

Sometimes spending a little more money saves you more for future.
 
HD 4670 DDR3 perform better than HD 5450. Take note: These days vendors offer 1 year warranty on HD 4670.
 
see dude u are not going to get any benefit of that dx11 below hd5770

you have to invest at least 7k for that so i say go for 4670
 
don't worry about directX 11 now as your friend is not heading towards high end cards.The problem is with the game quality that the cards in this range,will provide.And these will be between low to medium settings and not very High settings during game.So, if you don't care about high quality gaming,just forget about DX11,cuz the difference is quite invisible during gameplays on DX10 and DX11,unless you are aware of the fact that more APIs are being used and the curves more curved and edges more sharp in DX11.And believe me to know all these,it takes pretty much of training for your eyes too.
 
yea I agree, buying a cheap dx 11 card would serve no purpose anyway so its better to get the card with the best performance. i have suggested him to get either the 4670 or the 4650. I guess he will be settling between one of them.

in few games 5570 is faster than 4670,but in most games 4670 is faster than 5570.And it's way cheaper than 5570.And the truth is 4670 is really faster than 5570 :P

I would really say that a bare minimum for DX 11 is 5830/5850 or nVidia GTX 460 768mb/GTX 460 1 GB. Cause unless ur getting good frames, its of no use.
