I am planning to buy a graphics card any day after Thursday. Probably, next week. My budget is around Rs. 10000.

I have:

Intel Q8200 Core 2 Quad 2.33 Ghz
Kingston 4 GB DDR2 RAM (2 x 2GB)
MSI - P7NGM Digital motherboard with on board nvidia 9300.
Cooler Master 460W
Cooler Master Ammo 533 cabinet
Dell SW2409 - Full HD with HDMI, DVI and VGA.

I stopped playing games once my XBOX 360 stopped working. I don't play many games because I don't have graphics adapter. But if I do get one I'm sure I will start playing again.

Also I watch lot of 1080p movies and TV shows.

I am considering HD 5770 and GTX 460 768 Mb. The 1 GB is out of my budget. What I'd like to know is which brands to go for and which brands have the best warranty support.

The names I believe to be good are MSI and XFX. But does XFX have warranty support in Delhi?

Please feel free to mention factory overclocked versions as well, keeping in consideration the power supply that I have.

Please provide a reason for your suggestion and possibly price quotes from Nehru Place.

Thanks!

buy an MSI eyes closed , the stocks are low but they are worth the wait , buy from SMC directly , he has them in stock.

GTX 460 768MB all the way

A really good card. To say the best VFM Card at that price range

FIFA 2011, Dragon Age, Civ 5, Football Manager etc.

I don't even have a clue what games are out there. I'm gonna start after I get one.

Do any one of these cards carry international warranty?

Is that cm psu a extreme or real power , if possible I would reccomend waiting a couple of months (long time i know :( ) HD6xxx will be out and you may want to look at that , even if you dont get that current cards could be had for lower prices. If you absolutely have to get now and can extend budget 460 1gb.

Also what rez are you going to be gaming at ?

Does anyone know the price of MSI 5770 PM2D1G OC?

I am also thinking of buying an MSI 5750 and then overclocking it. Will that be good enough 1920 x 1080 games?

Nope. 5750 just won't cut it at 1920x1080 .

And you never told us if the PSU you have is EXTREME series or part of Real Power series.

could you be more specific about the user.

I feel at least a 5770 is required if wanting to game at 1080p.

Someone here had bought a ASUS 5770 CuCore for approx 8.5K iirc.

The 4850 is already Factory OC's and it does dissapoint in 1440 x 900 in the latest titles but otherwise it's great.I did try OC'ing to 690/1075 - When it came down to FPS game it really made not much of a difference.
