Nintendo has become the first electronics manufacturer to post a goose egg in Greenpeace's sixth issue of the 'Guide to Greener Electronics'. According to the report Nintendo has no timeline for toxic chemical elimination and makes little effort to recycle its products. Tsk, tsk.

Also anchoring the rear, Microsoft has scored a pathetic 2.7/10 for delaying its plans to eliminate harmful chemicals from its production process to 2011 and maintaining a subpar recycling program. And Sony? Well PlayStation faithful, there is finally something to cheer about: Sony ranks #3 in the Greenpeace guide with a promising 7.3/10, backed by a strong US recycling campaign.

This is pretty amazing. Although, I feel Ninty's 0 may have more to do with lack of info or no info at all being given to Greenpeace.

Greenpeace does a review of it's own

There is one thing though - Nintendo's products get thrown away far less often. There are any number of people who still have their NESes and SNESes around...

I believe it has more to with age than brand. I bet people owning older consoles probably still have them lying around their houses somewhere whereas consoles these days are usually sold back due to the all the good return prices and exchange offers.

Looks like Greenpeace is at it again. Now they've dedicated a site to the wicked earth ravaging ways of all three manufacturing giants with spoofs of each of the giants biggest selling franchises. It's sad but funny. Funny because it's sad.

We exist to be made fun of
