GRRR! bsnl changed their DNS servers

BTW, anyone used TreeWalk? Its like your personal DNS. It works for XP, 2000/2003 and its got some good reviews. There's no luck for Vista users yet.
 
I used Treewalk when I was on WinXP. Now that I am on Vista I could not get treewalk to work. There are a few messages on the net to get it to work with Vista but when I tried, it did not work. Also, I see no reason to shift to WinXP just for treewalk. But when it worked, life was great.
 
how can u change dns servers? some1 mind explaining a little....can it improve pings on game servers? can i improve something here....this is my traceroute to V-street server...

BSNL Network Administrators and a few at VSNL have lost it!

Using 218.248.240.208 (ns3.bsnl.in) as my primary DNS Server. Do a traceroute to google and this is what I get!

I have the same query. How does one change the DNS? Is it done from the LAN connection properties or from the Modem interface? And how to find good DNS servers? I am using BSNL too.
