GTA SA Woes !!!

yea uncheck invert mouse.
Also if you are talkin about the camera being able to move via mouse during driving, you can easily avoid that by not moving the mouse for a few seconds and then the cam will follow the car gta vc style.
Also pressing q or e for left and right view and then releasing it, immediately puts the camera in auto chase mode until u move the mouse.

The Xbox and PC versions have some aspects that are better than the PS2 version, but they also have some that are worse.
visual weirdness on the Xbox and a handful of technical issues on the PC prevent either version from being the clear-cut best of the bunch.
Review of the PC version from Gamespot.
Looks like ps2 version is still the best from the trio, considering that it also got a 9.6.
Also some audio problems may too occur -
But all this graphical quality is offset by some serious problems with the sound. Testing on three different machines that exceed the recommended system specs got us three results. On one machine, we didn't experience any audio glitches. On another, the audio simply cut out a lot, leaving you to drive around with only music to keep you company. It's tough to play when you can't hear your mission descriptions. On the third machine, loading up a save game caused a loud grating noise--which sounded like the bike-riding audio mixed with a helicopter--to scream out from the middle of the Grove. We had to hop in a car and drive away from the area to make the noises stop. Also, the cutscenes occasionally desynched from the audio, making the lip movement appear to be way off.
Exepect R* to release further patches....

Woah. Just because there are camera problems makes VC better ? Just 10 mins into the game, you haven't even played the game properly yet or got to any new improved features over VC and damn!! Its like you have something against SA from before, looking for points to insult it here right when you started the game....
and about the camera going haywire...- sorry dude but you're the first person reporting this odd problem. reinstall game or your card drivers
but the camera is still quite bad. EVEN on the ps2 version, should've mentioned it in the review but missed it - The camera is RIGHT behind the car - so you have a hard time seeing what's ahead of you - Specially in races.
it a stupid mistake R* has done. Hopefuly, R* will fix this because a lot of people are frustrated because of this on forums all over. A mod or something should fix it and let the camera stay a little over the car so you could see the road ahead of you clear.
And still facing probs like that i finished SA 2 times already, won all my races, and also hard driving missions. first time i reached 70% and now i'm on 86% completed all storylines missions, so i can say - This game is 100X better than Gta3 & VC COMBINED.
for now, i reccomend PC users to get a cheap analogue gamepad so it'll become a little easier to drive.
Man, I've been playin for 2 days n i dint face any problems .Ya the camera is kinda pain but if u have played any of the 3rd person shooters then this will be pretty easy.

this feature was striped out from the PC version, but the data models were still left in!! don't know why R* did that, but now a mod is available to get to those scenes back. *cough*

I hate its gansta theme, I hate its music, I hate what the did to public radio (Maurice Chavez where are you ) and I hate its controls. Why do you have you press the aim key (RMB) just to get the damned crosshair. I loved GTA3/VC style controls so much with camera fixed behind the user. That had become a standard for me and I summarily rejected third person games that did not follow it. And now look what R* did. You can't even strafe and if you end up facing other ways in a firefight, you're good as dead.

The camera is a little odd, but you get used to it after some time of playing...For those of who liked the controls of VC better (including me)...I think u will eventually like SA controls...It just takes some time to get used to it....
