I am planning to buy P II X3 720 + HD 4770

or 7750BE + gtx 260

Will 7750 be a bottleneck for my card?
Which will perform better?

Buy my 4850 instead....lol

But on a more serious note the 720be will trounce the 7750, but at the same time I dont think the 7750 will be a bottle neck.

anmyone with lowend processor aand high end GPU, plz post ur experience. I am getting a 22" and will be playing at max details.

a frnd of mine is having X2 7750BE O.C'ed at 2.9GHz...still its a bottleneck to his 8800GTS!!!...then u can guess wat it is going to be with GTX260.

get E5200 and oc to 4ghz + gtx 260 , no bottleneck .

^^+1

yup, u are right...my frnd said the same thing. since he is low on budget he is getting a E5200+Gigabyte G31 combo and will upgrade to GTX260. He tried to O.C. 7750BE, but it is a bad O.C'er....difficult to get beyong 3.3GHz. btw GTX260 is only now 10.5k!! :)

Since u would be playing it on a 22", i think getting a better GPU matters more than getting a better CPU. At HD resolutions, ur CPU won't be of much use but it would be ur graphics card which would be driving the frames.

So, i would say go for 7750BE, overclock it to 3.2(which it would easily) and a GTX260(it would seriously mess up with a 4770 :ohyeah: )...

Lol , no comparison mate.

GTX260 Core 216 , eyes closed.

We have a few very good dealers over at Tech Enclave. One of them is selling Zotac GTX260 Core216 @ 10,500 [Look at the Market/Dealer section for more informaiton]. I'm sure you won't find a better deal than this as of now. :)

dude, offtopic question..Is your rig(as per your siggie) enough to handle full hd gaming ??

^Crossfire has lot of issues, not to mention cost of a good motherboard. No crossfire/sli for now. I will happy with one GPU.

@huntu I will be visiting next week. Will msg u after I visit.

OT: can a gtx 260 sp 216 run on biostar 790gx?????
with p2 720be
cas gtx 260 are selling dead cheap now and looks more vfm than 4870 1gb

Well, dats a difficult question. Games like Crysis u can play at 1680x1050 with a lot of eyecandy(high) with avg 31 fps.
COD5(with 8xAF & 4xAA), POP2008(Medium Settings, High Resolution textures), FEAR 2(4xAA) etc run at HD and give an average of 45-60fps. If u need more fps, u need to go for higher cards.

As such i play like once fortnightly nowadays, so it doesn't even matter for me...:P

ur right two cards pose a lot of problem including huge power consumption

moreover even good processors would be a bottleneck for crossfir and sli
