User Guides Guide On How To Configure Nod32

As the thread says, guide to configuring NOD32 for optimum security. this guide will give u step by step instructions on how to configure the AV.

1. INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.

a. Goto Antivirus Software - Eliminate Spyware and Adware with NOD32 Antivirus from ESET and click on download
b. Click on download purchased software
c. Click on the version appropriate to the o/s u have installed

Please NOTE: LAN Update Server versions are for use in LAN / WAN environment where you want to install a MIRROR

It allows updates to be downloaded on one computer and transfered to others on the network.

LAN Update Server versions require the purchase of a Corporate or Peer 2 Peer Multiuser license.
If you do not require a MIRROR then you do NOT need the LAN version, the Standard Edition will be perfectly fine for installation.

d. When prompted for a username and password, please enter the username and password provided by ESET.

please note: step D is only for those of u who have purchased a copy from ESET and not for the free trial version.

e. save the file anywhere on the hdd or desktop where u wish to.

f. install the software and it is recommend doing a typical install if u are unfamilier with NOD32.

g. While installing, LEAVE Server as “Choose automaticallyâ€, I say this for many reasons:

* If a particular server is down, NOD32 will NOT be able to roll on to the next server.
* Experience shows us that you will have fewer or no problems with updating using this setting.
* Let Eset do their job and balance loads on the servers.

Place in the Username (UN) that your Reseller/Distributor or NOD32 email has provided.

Place in the Password (PW) that your Reseller/Distributor or NOD32 email has provided.

ONLY a Username and Password provided to you by ESET will work.

h. If You have purchased NOD32 for its ability to protect your computer, let’s help ESET to continue in its efforts to do so by leaving “Enable ThreatSense.NET Early Warning System†ticked.

This file can be found here:
