I hv heard that some institutes in India (Delhi) provide hacking course (for stoping activities like hacking the private companies/govt. agencies). Can anybody tell me the details fo the same.

The one which i could get is done from Reliance Web World in Delhi.

Pls suggest me more courses like this and the place which is good for doing such courses along with the fee.

u can also get good jobz in mnc's if u r a good ethical hacker and the salary is above 50,00 p/m

well the thing that we learn in the course..can it be used for unethical hacking also...i mean many guys can learn and misuse it also..its that a possibility?
 
Yes you can be a Certified Ethical hacker, one can get the details about the same from here...

EC-Council | Certified Ethical Hacker

But be aware that there is a maintenance fees on this certification and you will need to upgrade your certification every 2 years or, the same reason why i backed out in a time of recession :(
 
Guys do you have any idea of the certification path, cost and what all courses do we need ?, do we need to attend classroom trainings or not ?
 
omg..hahaha :clap: Thanks guys..hehe.. It was very funny to read about him. Those reliance web world guys called me half a dozen times. He gave a guest lecture in our college too.

+1 Hacking is supposed to be "A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and stretching their capabilities, as opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only the minimum necessary."

Dont waste time on learning hacking ethical or unethical courses.:no: Instead try & improve ur programming/computer skills. That will get u better paying jobs. The "hacking" part u will figure out yourself when u know enough

IMO, CEH course will make you a script kiddie not a hacker. Hacker is the one who finds exploits and script kiddie is the one who learns them and uses them. and ofcourse there is not "unethical" hacking.

to start with learn whats dll injection. you will find it fun. of course you will need to be an expert at c and c++ (or any other language) and system internals of linux and windows. read books by jonh robbins.
 
C-DAC Pune gives a course in Cyber Security which covers some part of Hacking and stuff, at least according to them. 2 Friends of mine are doing it and will let u all know in detail after their experience is over. ;)
 
refrain from any course or book related to Fadia , dl the CEH course and have a look at them.....use the free contents on the wild wild web ...make urself a script kiddie....and then try climbing the ladder....there are tutorials by VTC,etc (havent gone through them)....also dont join any govt. institute (some of my friends completed training from CDAC mohali).....make urself aware with networks and stuff(compTia Network+)

Sorry but no companies hire people directly unless they have some course name after them.....they dont trust a newbie though how much talented he may be since it regarding their data security
 
The cources which you may want to look at just for the certification is EC-Counsil's CEH and SANS certificates.

PS: I am a ethical hacker from last 6 years.
 
CEH is quickly losing value.

Look at the SANS institute courses, but they cost a bomb.

BTW, I have done quite a few, so u can PM me anytime, just finished my CISSP 2 days back :)
