hey guys, today i saw my life flashing in front of my eyes...had came back to Bangalore for a short break and went out with some buds for a drive...i was driving back and was doing in excess of 140 Kmph on my lancer on NICE expressway saw a dog crossing the road so tried to avoid it...while doing so lost my balance and hit the stone wall on my left at around 140k then the car turned full 180 degrees and came to stop in a ditch...left side of my car is fully gone thankfully no one was injured...a mechanic gave an rough estimate of 20k+ in repair charges but all i think is that how cause of just a small incident we all 4 friends would have lost our lives... i just thank god atm nothing else comes into my mind :(
saw the stone wall smash the car in slow motion and then landing in the ditch all i remember is recalling my parents

Thank god no one was seriously injured. Drive safe dude... Drive safe. I know 140kmph sounds pretty normal on expressway, but still. I hardly personally hardly try to go above 100-110.
 
Nice to hear everyone is safe, including the dog :)

Were you driving at night? Its even more unsafe at that speed in the dark.
 
thanks all...now i cant get myself to drive on that road...always thinking what would have happened if the wall was not there...all i think is that my friends would have died cause i was showing them my driving skills...though they dont blame me but i know 3 lives would have been lost just cause i was trying to show them i can drive :(
 
Example that Bangalore has god's grace.

another example: at a signal, vehicles start few seconds before green light is given and vehicles won't stop few seconds after red light is given. Still, no accidents in signals :)

Just kidding mate. Hope you will use your driving skills to drive safe instead!!!

I don't think lancer has ABS, does it?

Ideally u shd not have thought of the dog at 140kmph specially when u had 3 more life at stake.
 
again thanks all for the wishes and yah i would try to be here till my sixties :)

it was my that my friend who suddenly asked me to look out for the dog that i turned the wheel but what happened had happened i cant change it now...what i can do is to drive carefully now and after all of the wishes you guys had given i think i would live to be at least 100 thanks again :)
 
1. Do NOT drive at that speed. I still wanna be able to trade with you in the market and offer you advice when you need to buy stuff :P

2. Not to disagree of course, but I wouldnt call it a 'major' accident either. Any accident you can walk away from is a blessing, isnt it? :)

Sometimes accidents happen mate. Something similar happened with me too about 2 years ago. I ended up with metal plates in my face :|. Anyhow, It's good to know that you are safe :) . Always take care when driving.

This incident is a lesson to u! I am relieved to know that no one is injured... Thank God! :)

But wats life without such incidents that teach us good valuable lessons!! Take ample rest and relax before you take on life at full speed yet again :cool2:

God didn't do shit. Why did he send a dog on the road in the first place eh?

Anyway, thankfully noone got hurt. I recently lost a friend in a car accident because the car's tyre burst. Like Darthcoder said, drive safe.
 
Mate, take care of yourself. Life ain't worth more than 140 KMPH in NICE. You must be in serious shock. So take ample rest and don't forget your friends who have stood by you instead of blaming you for risking their lives.
