Every hero doing 140 kmph needs to go through what you went through once to realize that they're not invincible as they always thought they were and that it's not always the "other fools" who can't drive who crash and almost always lose their lives...

yes brother what you said is true well i learned my lessons a bit hard way...neways now i have learned how to drive and what not to do...and again thanks all for the wishes :) just came back from the garage he gave an estimate of 24k for total repairs...i would get it back on 20tyh though but this time my friend would be driving it

Always drive at normal speeds...I never go above 80 and that too on an expressway...I would prefer reaching office 10 minutes late than driving fast to avoid the 10 minutes...:P
 
I am really glad that dog didn't become victim for your negligence. Seriously 140 on highway is way too much no matter how good a driver ( or idiot ) you are . Still it's great to hear you all are safe, this experience won't be a waste if you actually learn your lesson.

For those who are telling that 140 is too high as long as you are full control and know what you are doing. I have been with 2 persons who are in full control, drive sanely enough even at the speed of 160. Accidents can happen if you are at slow speed btw (i went down in my bike at a speed of 30~40kmph) . You really can't help it.

As chaos said as long as the car can take it and if you are in full control i don't think 140 in a highway such as NICE isn't that risky.

Not really.. at least you need to slow down, otherwise you will have kheema all over your front seats and a non working car :lol:
 
I once transferred a dog strike to another guy :P

Me and an octavia were going downhill, and he was trying to pass me , but i was keeping up speed ( i was at about 80 or so ) and hogging the road. then i see thisdog leisurely crossing the road. I calculate that its gonne be in front of me pretty soon. So i slow down and move to the left to avoid it.

Mr Skoda driver thinks I'm accepting his car's superiority and moves in to overtake.

WHOOPS!

The dog was hit and thrown to the other side. It was nasty. But hey, it didnt happen to me :P . I'm finding out that I'm a really bad person once I get behind the wheel :ashamed:

Thank God that the dog put a stop to your speed thrill before you ended up hurting someone else. And thank God once again that you and your friends came out safe.
 
well while we are at ouchs, hit the divider at over 130KM in my zen, damages, 10 or 15k something

hit an auto doing 10kmph coz he braked unexpectedly, damages 12 or 15k something :P

so end matter, all depends on your luck, just try and be careful and take all the precautions you can and hope for the best

but the problem i already done 165-180 km per at my uncle skoda octavia 2.0 TDI with A/C

at chennai to coimbatore also to munnar ( Kerala )

cause i am on hoilday trip now btw there are no problem at this car cause it is saftey for very highway deparment road are smooth and only one way road

but speed is over killer maybe dangerous not sure :|

so the highway deparment police are unless to check the meter speed singal is not use :no:

where i have hear 4 year ago some of highway found 120 km recorr at my fiat uno diesel :lol:
