Half life 2: Level 14 Our benefactors no jump bug

Hi i just reached lvl 14 in hl2 the "our benefactors" stage. I just can't jump now... i thought it was coz of the new gravity gun... but it seems it's a bug in the game. The only suggestions i found on the net were to load from an earlier point. My last save is in lvl 12 and i really don't want to go through all of that again. So does ne1 have a fix for this... or do I have to play lvl 12 and 13 all over again?
 
I encountered the exact same bug that you did. At the time, I just assumed that the newly charged Gravity gun just made you too heavy to jump, but apparently, it's a very real bug. I found the truth from gamefaqs. To avoid it, you have to avoid walking on the first bridge. Right after you go past the monitor from which Breen talks to you. You're supposed to jump up on the railing and cross the bridge instead. So, unless you have a save file from the beginning. Woops!!! Or you can just select the chapter from the main screen? I don't remember much.
 
AAAhhh forget it... I just played again from lvl 12... and finished the damn thing off... now i really want to play episode1.
