R roshni_45 Beginner Mar 10, 2009 #1 I have HP compaq nx 7400 laptop. I get this error on startup. 1720 smart hard disk detects imminent failure. I did self test in BIOS. The first test itself failed. Is there any solution other than disk replacement? How long will the hard disk work?
