I have 5yrs old seagate 250gb pata hdd.

Its 211gb is usable but further that its unusable.

Yesterday whole night i kept HDD Regenerator to MARK Bad Sectors /RECOVER/REPAIR & MOVE them to other zone. The process was going fine for 4hrs and then i was asleep & when i woke up in morning there was error unable to read disk, restart the computer and try again. :@

I know the exact BAD SECTOR area which is 438070429 till the end 488397168

i.e 213gb to 232gb.

Is there any utility in which i'll input these values and mark/block that area permanently?

IT has already grown too old. Better sell it off before it completely fails....

m already using it as usb & it has served me very well and i cant leave her dying. she is 90% fine except for those left 10% bad sectors.

@anfjavid : IT may be old bt it does not mean you should simply forget the past and move on. You are here due to some past....:right:
