anyone getting a harley

Kumar said:maybe its only me but i dont really like harleys
Private Ryan said:A harley is a Harley...love it or hate it..basically this divide is as old as the jap sportsbike have been around...a guy who likes a harley will never buy a sportsbike..and vice versa...
Well i belong to the first category..nothing can match the presence of a Harley..all sportsbikes look like clones of each others..but a Harley stands out..
(okay sports bike lovers..lets not begin a cat fight over this..)
Unfortunately, they come at a steep price and i think i'll have to stop eating for a few decades to gather the moolah to own one..![]()
Nikhil said:hehe.... I prefer performance to looks/presence.
That is why I bought a Pulsar 180 instead of an Avenger/Eliminator or Royal Enfield.
I dont want to move so fast that people dont notice my "presence"
Private Ryan said:Then why the Pulsar re..if you dont wanna move fast and show ur presence the Avenger wud have been better..![]()
I find ur two statements contradicting..lol..
And well, the Royal enfield has a performance in a different way..performance is not always being fast..sometimes its the way the bike shows its road holding ability, the way it manages crosswinds at high speeds, the confidence it inspires on the highway..the overall image of the bike..no indian performance bikes can mange crosswinds like the bullet does..simply because of its heftiness...it's like a locomotive..once its on the roll the vehicle coming from the opposite side did better run for cover..lol
cos if it rams into anything, it'll leave the biggest dent of all indian bikes..
tht is why a true blue bullet fan may never want to buy a jap bike..even if he has to painstakingly stay awake all night to get rid of the leaking oil or a broken clutch cable..he'll still do it for the ride's sake..
APtly said, for some..the journey is the destination..![]()
