Has anyone had this issue with DTDC?

Damn just got an update that they unloaded the item because it was a phone with battery. Not sure why it’s in Coimbatore still. One of the folks said it’s moving by road.

did sender/seller mentioned it's mobile handset in pack?
if yes, then the booking person must know that it will ONLY can ship via Road, but still he book for Air and charge way higher compare to regular road freight, isn't it strange?

@ayaskant12 did ask them to write mobile but they chose to write mobile without battery for some reason.

Last time also same things happened to me.
@thegoodsamaritan and me had a tough time due to this!!
Paying more than a thousand and still shipping by surface
They told me phones are shipped in air !!

Will boycott DTDC henceforth

Traumatic experience this time

that was an indeed crazy experience!

also, in case anyone has wondered, these operators only insure your goods at a maximum amount for Rs. 49,999/-, and in case anything goes kaput, their liability is a portion of the valuation!

I have been using Skyking courier services, they do 100% insurance irrespective of the value of the goods.

recently sent a camera worth 100k, full insured.
 
Having horrible experience with DTDC via Shiprocket. Booked a shipment for on Friday and no one is botherd to come pickup the parcel. They simply put a fake note every morning "Pickup not done as customer requested another date". Have tried escalating to SR but did not help. DTDC native service is usually pretty good so i chose this since they have recently shown up on SR portal. Additionally, I have a DTDC office in the adjoining building where i live so I decided to personally drop it off on Saturday but they looked at me clueless when i even said the word SR and refused to accept the parcel. They said whoever I contacted and booked it via will come pick it up, he suggested the main DTDC office for Mumbai.

Apologies to @LaatSahab as this is not the experience i give buyers of my products (usually same/next day shipping). As promised, will re-assign to a different courier and bear the overhead charges.

TLDR: Avoid DTDC via Shiprocket

Yes faced the same thing recently! (DTDC via Shiprocket.) Dtdc sucks on that part. I cancelled dtdc and booked amazon and ekart instead.
Dtdc is like govt. you have to go to their table they wont give a damn about you. Glad the buyers here were patient enough and not in a hurry...
One more thing I got to know about dtdc is that no matter how good you pack and declare the items and value, they wont trust you and instead tear-down your package again at their office to verify if items and dimensions etc. matches the declaration, then repacks and sends across!

WTF! That's crazy
 
i have a dtdc courier that left bangalore on 6th 1am to reach bhubaneshwar , its 65+ hours already and still no update. it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
From bhubaneshwar to my address , it usually takes a day or two.
whats up with dtdc?
they are taking 3 days to update , when its 25-30 hrs at max to travel by road between two points.
