Has anyone tried something like this? (Wifi Dish Antenna)

yes & it works cool.

use a strainer (in the kitchen/ any kitchen shop will sell u one for 100 odd) with the metal mesh in it. cover with foil, hook up around ur usb wifi card antenna. (note: never seen this worl for inetrnal wifi, always usb wifi adapters)

thats it, ur signal quality improves a real good way.

I don't know about workings and designs of antennae but, would it work if i attach a Router itself (in some weather proof casing of course) in place of the Biquad element?
