has anyone used OSX for x86?

Hehe tried it, worked perfectly both in VMware and natively(other than accelerated Aqua). The only issue was the keyboard not getting detected in the native install as this build doesnt recognize PS/2 peripherals. Fantastic performance though... runs much much faster than the 1.4GHz powerbook that we had in our lab. Boots in <10seconds to the desktop.

Ah am here.. my dear friend :) I've tried it.. runs on vmware..

Well ur just limited to 10.4.1.... this is essentially the developer build that got distributed. This was for the developer kit which was essentially a p4 3.6ghz normal x86 system..

Let's see whether they're able to run it when the real thing comes out :) But, yeah this was expected to be cracked as this is the dev release

Me know where to get it; but I won't since I don't own a PC to try it on and secondly, the filesize is just too big for me to download in a cyber cafe.

If anyone wants it, just PM me

Works on AMD systems?
Works on A64 and higher. Needs SSE2 support.

@Checksum... what errors? If it works in vmware, even if you just do a raw copy of the image to a hard drive, it shud work

After you install it, thenu can create new partitions... there is lot of crap you can do if you have access to a comp with it already installed, then you can use a partition imaging tool I think to transfer it.... but the dldable image or DVD does not give you that opportunity.

^^ Just for info, try running it natively... runs a lot lot faster than thru VMware.
yep.. did that on dad's lappie... no wonder hez happy :p

btw it detects the in-built lan card too :D so i can access the net too :p

btw.. sudo ifconfig en0 ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx doesn't seem to change the mac address... any other way to do it? i tried 'laddr' instead of 'ether' too...

but thank god only 10.4.1 runs.. update it to 4.2 and voila! :p

still this won't stop me from buying my mini.. whenever i get some cash :p
