has anyone used OSX for x86?

yeah just type 'platform=x86pc -x' at the start and u'll be fine.. it's a bit slow to load but runs fast... even with 256 mb ram..

Using MAC OSx in MSI 845P Motherboard and Pentium 3.06 478p processor and simple PCI graphics card, 512 MB RAM
Tried following installations -
a) 10.4.1 HDImage Install - Installs fine, Response okay (No Quartz/CI available); After VLC installation, broke the MacOs.
b) 10.4.1 DVD Install - Installs Fine, Response okay (No Quartz/CI available)
After VLC installation, broke the MacOs.
c) 10.4.5 DVD Install - Installs fine, response is very fast (No Quartz/CI as I need a supported graphics card)
d) 10.4.6 DVD Install - Installation was smooth but there was some problem in Disk Utility which did not make my Drive active. I had to use partition magic to make the drive active to boot into OSX86. Using for last couple of weeks and tremendous fast performance but no Quartz/CI. Got XBench score of 61.
Application Installed
iLife (iDVD, iMovie HD, iPhoto etc) - working fine.
iTunes - Working Fine
MS Office 2004 - Working Fine.
iDVD Pro - Working Fine
Photoshop CS2 - Working Fine but very slow compared windows (Understandable as it does not have Universal Binary itself)
Avid Express DV - Working but very slow.
VLC - DVD playback ok but resoulution is not that great (probably beacuase of the Video Card)
Apple DVD Playback does not work.
The CD burners are working fine .. yet to try DVD burning. Yet to try Networking.

i wanna do this soon wud post back if any troubles...waiting to get back home to try this out must be a nice experience :p

^^ dont worry. if you are in some trouble.... the software gurus here wouldnt run it through Vmware.. they would ruun it natively on X86(you :bleh:) ....
