At the risk of breaking the discusison above :P, and gettig back to the OP...

I almost never play FPS games, pretty much becoz of this!

Don't know if it's motion sickness as I totally totally completely dig long drives ...

But FPS games, they almost alwayz give me a headache

I have never noticed any sort of motion sickness or FPS sickness in my life. What is up with you guys?

@nvidiabeast, why did your dad break your relationship?

yes. having a GF is waste of money... specially when u dont get something u desire.. hope u guys get me  and yes obviously, time too :P

@Faheem.. the story in my case is different.. opp to urs.. we both loved each other and truly.. but my dad forcefully broke up my relationship with her and ur right. i shud forget about the girl maybe.. i tried many times.. but i cannot!!! can u send me ur trance collection by the way.. i too need it for refreshment. im bored listening to my old collection. and well there is nothing to do with my pc. the mobo/processor dont OC :( and no time for pc doing stuffs.. and still depressed cause i get lot of work at office and i get crazy cause of crazy days.. i get tired :( any solutions?

any time dude. EDITED.

yeah i know u get bored with an old rig cauz even mine..is very old but still lets me play few games with the 6600gt comin on its knees...so try some games which u r 6600gt will handle easily like carbon and all...

and as some one above mentioned it maybe due to low fps cauz now a days i get very low fps on games like carbon and all say like only 20-22 fps ..which really makes me feel giddy so i change the video settings to medium...and then play..

well i dont think u guys shud discuss about exchanging pirated stuf etc, send a pm if u have 2

ps.u shudnt have gf jus to get the ahem stuff, thats jus plain ol sick

and afa gaming goes, u shud game to have fun or bust stress, if gaming causes issues like the ones mentioned in this thread u shud go and see a doc, seriously before things get bad

Well..... I haven't experienced any kinda motion sickness till this date, n' I love FPS!!

Sometimes,.. maybe sometimes when I was stuck in the game, may cause frustration during gaming.. but motion sickness.. never felt it!!

for me, even a dave game increases my heartbeat and pressure due to the tensions... :ashamed:
lol Dave is the game that chills me :ohyeah: ...i can complete it in 20 min flat blindly...;)

It happens to me still when i play Quake, UT2K4....after 15 mins of playing though. Earlier happened with when i played NFS2, Tribes, HL(on a bad PC) the contrasting colours and quick frame changes gave me headache and i used to move off the PC and sleep. Found a simple solution .... RTS and MMOs, they allow you to rest during the game.

It happens mostly when you're tired. so i play Quake only in morning :P

errr....I think I might have forgot to add a bit of info.

I get the exact same feeling when I read a very boring book - dont ask why do read it if it's boring. But the effect is more pronounced in case of boring games.

And I don't think, this has got to do with motion sickness. Coz that should affect me real life as well. But I have driven my bike/car at 100+ speeds. No probs there.

The word is *boring*

I think I found my alter ego.

The only diff is the orifice :ohyeah:

getting back to the relationships, when i broke up with my gf 2 years back, i resorted to extreme heavy metal music (marlyn manson, rob zombie, lots of LP) and hours of non stop quake iii (generally a thousand frags a nite)....quake iii is the only game, which has allowed me to take out my feelings in a non-destructive way...its very healing...

I saw a whole season of Scrubs back to back, on one of those nights :).
Very "healing"

That's a new one....and its definitely not motion sickness.

And Btw, motion sickness really doesn't have anything to do with fast cars/bikes. I've played videogames since as long as I can remember the only times I've had motion sickess is when i'm reading in a car, sitting in the back of a car where I can't see my surroundings (i.e out of the window), or when I play FPS's that put you right at the nozzle of the gun/where you hold the gun.

Re4 is behind the shoulder FPS and I've never had a problem with it, so basically, the more the view I have of the central object, the better it is for me.

It doesn't have anything to do with 'fast-moving' games. If it matters, I'm a big fan of Sonic which right now, is the fastest-moving creature in some of the most fastest moving games in the videogame history (Sonic Adventure DC, Sonic Riders).

yeah, as i said motion sickness differs from person to person. I can play any of the nfs series non stop for more than 6 hrs. However just 15 minutes of quake or doom3 is good enough to kill me :ohyeah:
