So, I tried starting up my PC after little over 2 weeks and it failed to do so.My first assumption was that the power button on my cabinet was acting up as usual, so I kept trying for a few more minutes, but it still failed to start. So, I thought that my button had finally given up.Then I tried jump starting the motherboard using the 2 pin momentary connectors (though I think I may have done it wrong). Then I tried to switch the 2 pins so that my reset button would act as the power button. That too didn't work.

Does this mean my motherboard has given up? Because my PSU is fine, I jump started it and all the components (except the motherboard ofcourse) started up.

i don't think you can rule out the the power supply. Better still you could go on an elimination spree. That is swap power supply, see if the board is not shorting, and do the out of tower thing. Check the pc bare bones and then we'll take it from there.

Motherboard issues are nasty and you would be lucky to catch the fault at one go.

all the best

It happens sometimes...especially in the monsoons.
Take everything apart, clean it, put it back together, keep your fingers crossed and press the power button.

Check one by one..

I think it would ram problem

Remove Ram and start pc

Then put back ram and start pc again

Hope it helps
