Hathway users - changes in DNS and IP address settings

something wrong with Hathway
the time they got this automatic thing ..... around month now
the speeds are pathetic, but then i observed its the P2P speeds which are going for toss. but once you are on youtube or rapidshares its all rite.
Is it that they got some P2P speed blockers coz user like me would otherwise suck them up.
And surprizing my package is 256 unlimited download n hours for 1150 or something. am living on Cadell road, Mahim. How come your rates that low? and also speed which sounds like my old connection speed
Is there any suggestions I want to leave Hathway asap

All I did was write a email to Hathway to their office which services my area and ask them to make the change in the plan, and it was done that day itself. I contacted Hathway for my area on number 40041690, this Hathway branch covers South Mumbai, phone them and ask them what is the phone number and email address of their branch which covers your area.
Here is a screen capture of a download I am doing right now on my 256kbps plan.
EDIT: Hathway have made one change in the new 256kbps plan - they have increased the upload speed to 128kbps.

I recently switched to Airtel, before i used Hathway 256k unlimited @ 999+tax
now i use 386k conx for the same price... i get speed of 40kb/s while downloading torrents
+ there is no such thing as upload in hathway.... i never managed to upload an 4+mb file in my ~6yrs experience !
@Eazy Du meter shows bit more then the actual speed you get during data transfer try using netlimiter alternately you'll get the idea.

.. tried to check using 192.168.100.1.. it still said offline.. i managed to contact the helpdesk and escalate the call to their sups and got it done.. the service is pathetically pathetic 
.. but when it comes to speeds its good no doubt.. when i use download accelerators (DAP) i normally get speeds as good as 66kbps -70kbps ! .. my plan is 512 unlimited.. paid 9k for 6 months..

Everyone using Hathway's BB had a break in their conx for a day or two when they changed their way of handling IP addresses, but no one in Hathway's Helpline knew anything about this change
hyeah: I now dont call the Hathway Helpline when I have a problem in the Internet conx, I found out the phone number of the place where the Engineers for my area are based and when I call them I get a QUICK response. When you next have an Hathway engineer over at your place ask him the phone number of his centre.
The Hathway Engineers will NEVER give you their mobile numbers so save your breath and dont ask them for it

Phone the Engineers of my area and ask them, they are based in Nariman Point and they service South Mumbai - #40026810, tell them you have a problem and they should give you the number to contact for your area.

hathway is better no downtime from past month when i switched from my old tata quick power 360
i am much satisfied with hatway better than tata's local operators who suck a lot
by the way i use 128 unlimited but some how on fc9 i have managed to get 18k+ torrents windows i get 15k
