i have not had any bad experience with hathway so far in about an year of running on 512extra ( night ul) except the initial connection hiccups of arnd 2 weeks which i guess is pretty usual with hathway. Speeds vary between 4-5KBps to 60KBps but, overall speeds almost average out arnd 50KBps. no downtimes either. not even once so far.

Though frm past few days lot of problem on my side going..they have totally messed up this month totals usage......so i cant understand now how much my monthly usage is..since the usage they show is more than my limit....and i m on prepaid connection...so how come that happen......slowly they r correcting but i m sure i wont be able to figure out later when they stop the connection ,which shd last till nov end for which i have paid......
Also 1 day of my connection they charged me 728mb...but lukily -unlukily that day i was noticing my usage and knew i havent passed 50 mb for that day...i complained and they said they will rectify and call me bak.....but to my disappointment they increased the usage to 736mb after correction...also some days their system freezes and they count 0 mb for that days.....that also had happeed thrice during this period...and they further added 40mb ard each day...so i have made sure i wont complain in future regarding download limits if connection is not dead.....

hmm, i've actually heard good things about MTNL :S although it was from people in the NCR region. we don't have MTNL here in chennai so i wouldn't know
hathway on the other hand was terrible for all of us here when we were all on it. the company was the only isp in chennai for about 3-4 years so pretty much everyone suffered on it. speeds never crossed more than 7 to 8 KB/S on a 256kbit line. torrents were blocked.

It is because I have been getting downloads like this that I feel Hathway is good enough for me.
