I have not used it much, but as far as I remember and I am 99% sure, it transmits and received in stereo. For more information see the specifications.

i have one with me and sound quality is superb till distance of around 10 feet,after 10 feet you have to be in line of site.
i tried it on sony hi fi and did not have any distortions.
it does transmit in stereo.
 
In that case, I am not willing to take a risk when there are the same kind of products in ebay for 1.4k with 1 year warranty.

Can you provide a link, I can't see any Hauppauge Wi-Music on eBay.

Please don't compare it with cheap Chinese replicas. If you don't have to buy it, stay away.
