well while checking for laptops i came across the HCL Leaptops(yeah the spelling is correct :P ) . They are offering these laptops @ very competitive rates as compared to Acer & Compaq.

Now what i was wondering is that how good their Build quality and service is ?? coz at that price those laptops are a steal.

Btw i did hear that these laptops were made by Toshiba ( i might be wrong).

Now , Take a look at this baby

ACER 5583 is for 38499+ taxes.

so its pretty good deal too.:)

btw the proccy is 5500 or 5200 on the Acer laptop ?? ..and yeah acer has always been providing VFM laptops .. just wanted to knw how good is HCL regarding there laptop service and build quality

ya proccy is T5500(1.6GHz) not T5200 as on HCL.
so i think its better to get acer one even if its costly by 1 or 2k.
and also acer5583 has 1.3 mp camera as well.
all in all acer should be a better buy since atleast i dont anyone using HCL leaptops.

Nope...these "leaptops" aren't made by toshiba.HCl does however sell toshiba made laptops in india.
