This is a no brainer 4850 all the way :bleh:
9600GT(8.5k) < 8800 GT(10k) < HD 4850(11.5k)

Man 4850 is 1.4x faster than 9600GT, they belong to differant segments, more than 3k price differance LOL.

Performance @ 1600 X 1200

Assume 4850 = 100%

then 8800GT = 85%

9600GT = 69%

Performance @ 1600 X 1200 4xAA/16xAF

Assume 4850 = 100%

then 8800GT = 78%

9600GT = 66%

what resolution would u be playing if u want to save some money even 8800gt is a good buy for gaming on 22inch lcd if a new card is launched it does not mean that the old one was very poor performing a 8800gt can also handle all current gen games.BUt the choice is upto u.
