my config:
i5 750 @3.2
gigabyte p55m ud2
corsair 2*2 gig @1333
corsair 750 psu
power color hd5850

everything was working fine until this evening, wen i turned on my pc it boots and windows loads but no display is seen...
i unplugged everything and fixed all back and now display comes and once windows loads gpu fan runs at its high speed and the display goes off...
once this happens then the display doesnt come at all. i have to wait for like another 10 mins and turn it on, the whole thing happens all over again... :(

has any one faced such issues?
also, any pointer for ati service center in india wld be great.

Try testing another video card if possible , from the bits you say about fan running high and then system shutdown it does seem you might need to get the card rma'd .

the computer indeed works fine as usual with another card. :(

for rma, should i send it to ati itself or power color?

Best to return to dealer you bought from. Otherwise you will have to take time to do it yourself find out where powercolor service center is go there deposit the card etc etc.

^^ You'll have to find the local Powercolor Service provider in your area and hand-over the card to him, to get prompt service, else if you hand it to your dealer, he'll take his own sweet time to send it forward and this delays the whole process, considerably.

Tirupati Enterprises handles them in India so get in touch with them -- PowerColor Official Website - Graphics, Cases, Power Supply.

I would have doubted your power supply at first, but no you have corsair! :D. Hand it over to your dealer and let him check and test the card himself.
