We have a Windows 2003 server on which we have a hardware RAID controller card, having 2 pin slots for primary IDE and secondary IDE. We also have 2 80 Gb HDD on this box.
Now, nobody here knows how to configure the RAID. Not even which cable goes where, so right now both of the HDDs are installed on the PC like 2 regular drives creating a capacity of 160 Gb. Is there anyway by which the RAID feature can be used effectively ? One problem that we had faced in the past is the server OS had crashed and we had to reinstall & configure the server (create user accounts, setup DNS, etc) all over again.
Any help would be appreciated.
