Hdfc bank to ICICI bank, funds transfer.

I want to transfer money (below 1k) from a hdfc bank a/c to ICICI bank a/c in another city, please guide me how to do the same, and also if there are any charges?:S

1. Add ICICI payee a/c in your HDFC bank list of payees. Wait 24 hours for confirmation.

2. Make a payment to that account.

2. No charges for online transfer. Just make sure you have a balance of 5K in your HDFC account.

Any idea of cash deposit in icici bank..SBI has minimum charge of 25, does ICICI also have the same?
 
their are charges i guess its 50 buks below rs 10k..which is a limit for the day

for hdfc which is mentioned on its site....

why dont u check icici site.....but i will agree 3 rd party net transfer is best deal..though have to wait for a day or 2...but its worth as u get mail and sms that u have added someone name to whom u want to transfer...so no one can hack and use your account..and if does u get a warning of same take it that way

2. Cash deposits, it will depend on the type of ICICI account. One I know of gets 1 free cash deposit at any ICICI branch per month. Around 100 Rs for subsequent deposits ion that month. So you ll need to check up.
 
agree with techie 007... no charges if you use NEFT.:) I have been transfering money to ICICI and SBI accounts from my HDFC account, many times using NEFT. No charges levied till now.

For NEFT, it may take upto 1-3 working days for the money to get reflected in the receivers account.

I have no idea whether you need a 5k balance for NEFT transfer.

no charges at all I hv myself deposited money in icici bank for outstation acc(but deposit was above 1k)as I dont hv a bank acc:ashamed: .Just turned 18
 
You can write an email to customercare@icicibank.com for an answer to your question on credit to a 3rd party ICICI account from out of station ICICI bank/ATM branch. You should get a response in 24-48 hours.

I think an ICICI a/c holder is allowed 1 free cash deposit to his/her account from any branch(other than home branch) in a month. I don't know if only the a/c holder is allowed to make that deposit but I think who makes the deposit should not matter .
 
icici cash deposit is free, when i did it last atleast, hdfc charge 100 for a cash deposit which i think is ridiculous

Only for third party transaction they will charge rs 100/-

NEFT transfer is the best way, as HDFC does not allow third party Deposit , Cash deposit Charges are absurd and reek of those US bank rules where you pay to keep your money with them:ohyeah:
Kaash our Nationalised banks had woken up in time......,

Cash deposit in ICICI is free only at base branch.In other then base branch there will be minimum charges of 150+tax

Anywhere Cash deposit by customer or customers representative to the credit of the customers own savings Account at a non-base branch i.e. branch in other city

ICICI Bank Online

This is very easy to transfer funds by HDFC to ICICI and same is free.

Just you have to add third party payee in HDFC account and transfer funds through NEFT.Take care of branch code and account number while adding payee.

EDIT-Also there is no condition of minimum 5000/- balance in HDFC to transfer funds.
