I recently got a new monitor- Samsung B2030(20" Wide) for my desktop setup. Till yesterday i was running it via VGA cable that came with the monitor. Native and max. resolution was 1600x900. Yesterday i bought a DVI to HDMI converter. I already had one and a really good HDMI cable and thought of giving it a try with my gts 250. Connected the B2030 via HDMI cable and the 2 converters. Now i get 1920x1080 as a HD optiion from NVIDIA control panel. It looks good but i cant game at that resolution, only the desktop and other applications recognize it. Please tell me is it safe to use that resolution???Will it damage my monitor by any chance???
